The Peninsula Tokyo
Posted on

It’s my first time to stay here. I was really excited because its bathrooms are ranked as one of the World’s Best Hotel Bathrooms.Β We arrived at night

Checking in was a breeze

Reception

The rooms are amazing!!! I have a walk-in closet

Deluxe Room Bathroom

Listen, they weren’t kidding when they called it “world’s best.”

IMG_1500

I love that shower seat

IMG_1498

It has two sinks on opposite sides (not side by side). The one on the left

IMG_1514

The one on the right. This is why I like counter sinks. Clean and simple. I really hate fancy bowl sinks.

Bathroom

And tonight I need a bath. With mood light, hehe. I can’t tell you how good this smells…

Hi! Just arrived from HK the other day and we stayed at this super nice hotel in Causeway, HK. It is called THE UPPERHOUSE. I recommend for you to try this hotel on your next trip yo HK. Service is very personal. And their room…its the best room I’ve ever stayed in. Its more than a 5 star hotel for me! You can google their site to see what their hotel room is like. Its huge and with a huge bathroom with a view! Super nice!

Of all the things to notice while scrolling through the photos is that plancha on your mom’s vanity. πŸ™‚

Maybe it’s just the lighting but I’m getting that sort of retro vibe from the photos you posted of the room – retro but mixed with subtle very modern things. πŸ™‚ Homey atmosphere but there are more than enough things to pleasantly surprise you. Ang ganda, very Japan. πŸ™‚

Two months ago I went to Singapore for the first time naturally I had to read all your previous blogs about best food , restaurant, etc to try when in Singapore. I’ve been an avid follower since 2009. Hopefully, when I get the chance to travel to Tokyo, I will definitely look into your Tokyo entries to guide my trip.

Your photos look so nice, some of them look like they’re from the hotel’s website. And I love the lighting in the bathroom! Such attention to detail, even the bathroom is strategically lit.Β  [Reply]CVS Reply:November 5th, 2011 at 6:23 PMwell yes, the PR manager gave me a CD last night πŸ™‚ but most of the photos are by me [Reply]omnesia Reply:November 6th, 2011 at 7:20 PMWas about to comment on the reception desk photo. Β I’ve been reading your blog for quite sometime now. Funny, I also take photos of hotel rooms (yes including the toilet) and their other amenities and post them in my blog! I like hotels with nice swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam bath etc. If you have the time, it would be nice to see them in your next “hotel feature” πŸ™‚

I love Japan! Hopefully I can go back there on February. Everything’s so nice, even the 7-11 stores that have nice food and good coffee despite it being vendo! That’s one very nice hotel and bathroom. People there are courteous and nice. πŸ™‚Β
