Anne Curtis enjoys La Dolce Vita with Swiss Miss Chocolate Hazelnut
Posted on

Anne Curtis was recently in Italy where she enjoyed the food, the wines and the chocolates, aside from the scenery.
“Being there was really living the good life. Italy is really a place to enjoy life and wonderful experiences,” said Anne during the recent Swiss Miss “La Dolce Vita” event at the Venice Grand Canal Mall in McKinley Hill.

Anne is someone who knows how to enjoy life. She works hard but also knows how to reward herself, like with a cup of good hot chocolate.
“I make sure that I’m able to take a quick breather despite my full schedule. At the end of long taping hours or filming for a new movie, a cup of Swiss Miss Chocolate Hazelnut helps me relax and enjoy those moments,” said Anne.

She likes Swiss Miss Chocolate Hazelnut hot or cold. Swiss Miss Chocolate Hazelnut is the newest flavor of Swiss Miss, the world famous chocolate powder drink. It’s made of premium, imported cocoa and real milk. Swiss Miss Chocolate Hazelnut fuses the aroma and flavor of roasted, buttery hazelnuts with silky, creamy and frothy chocolate.

“La Dolce Vita” means “the sweet life” and the event celebrated that with gondola rides, Italian cuisine, music courtesy of pop opera singer Jonathan Wagner, and sketches of guests by artists on site.

“There’s no one quite like Anne. She is glamorous and sophisticated but she knows how to enjoy life,” said Cathy Castro, Swiss Miss Asia marketing manager. The launch is a milestone for Filipinos as the Philippines is the first market in Asia to introduce this new Swiss Miss flavor.
“The luxurious taste of the new Swiss Miss variant reminds us that it doesn’t require much to enjoy life. Life is sweet, and we can enjoy its little indulgences by rewarding ourselves for our little wins,” she added.

How Justin Bieber ended up in Tacloban
Posted on

Yesterday I woke up with Maria Ressa’s tweet that Justin Bieber had arrived in the Philippines, on his way to Tacloban.

Unreal, I thought. I grew up seeing only has-beens visit the country. Never in the height of the career.
Of course things have changed since the last few years. Justin Bieber has been here but not One Direction.
Madonna still hasn’t been here and she’s past her prime (sorry Grace!).

The rest of the day, Twitter was all about Bieber in Tacloban.
Based on accounts, Bieber and his group landed in Manila around 5 AM via private plane.
He arrived through the help of TV5, PLDT, SMART, and MVP, whom he reached out to for assistance in his #GiveBackPhilippines advocacy.

Bieber expressed that he wanted to personally visit Tacloban and meet Yolanda survivors. His team didn’t want to announce his arrival and make it commercial. They asked that it be low-key and no-frills.
With that, PLDT and SMART arranged a private plane for his to visit Tacloban. The plane used is owned by gameshow host Willie Revillame (check out the tail).

After resting in Manila, Justin arrived in Tacloban around 2 PM, assisted by UNICEF on ground.
He sang “a series of Christmas songs and some of his hits as well, including Baby,” said Kate Donovan, a spokeswoman for UNICEF.

Justin gave away T-shirts to the kids of Tacloban and played street basketball, including a one-on-one with Coach Chot Reyes of Gilas Pilipinas.

His manager, Scooter Braun, said it was a very touching and emotional day for Justin, as you can see in these photos provided by SMART.

He returned to Manila in the evening and met with executives and endorsers of SMART, TV5 and PLDT at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel.
His manager, Scooter Braun took time to thank those who made the visit possible.

The meet and greet lasted for about 30 minutes, very quickly. No time to make chika. Those who had a chance to take photos with Bieber were in and out within a minute.

I smell a hit: “A Secret Affair”
Posted on

“There seems to be a new genre of mistress movies,” noted my friend James over dinner at Le Salon last night.
So I heard from my Hong Kong friend Jiki, that Anne Curtis and Derek Ramsey have a new movie called A Secret Affair.
And based on their mega-blockbuster No Other Woman, plus John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo’s The Mistress, I boldly predict this movie will be another hit among Manila’s masses and “socialites” alike.

“I’m surprised you didn’t notice the different cup size.” — Andi Eigenmann in A Secret Affair.

Amazing cheezeballs! That line makes me cringe and barf inside my mouth.
Eye. Can’t. Wait! And you?
