This was the weirdest day ever, filled with stress and blessings both.
It was not a good day, but it had its perks. I’m just glad to be safe in bed.
It started with panic buying at Jean Paul Hevin at the IFC.
These are not entirely mine, but whoever is getting the big present is so lucky!

Then I had to buy my favorite sesame raisin bread at City Super before my diet starts tomorrow 🙁

IMG_2683

I had one hour to shop, so I went to Vivienne Westwood in Causeway Bay. I also grabbed a Joyrich x Lesportsac laptop case at Sogo before rushing back to the hotel.
I made it back in time to go to the airport with my mom and sis.
Four Seasons is cool because they send these guys to help us check in at the airport. May tagabuhat pa 🙂

All these bottles people left behind before the X-ray

IMG_2686

I love these little carts. I wish our malls would have them or something. It would make shopping much more fun.

IMG_2687

My sister saw Anthony Bourdain alone at the Disney store, while I was buying lunch at Saboten, a fast tonkatsu place

IMG_2688

I love the tenderloin

IMG_2690

Oh, and a Japanese guy helped me, as I couldn’t carry my tray and push my cart at the same time. He pushed my cart for me. What an angel. I thanked him in Japanese.
Here’s my meal:

IMG_2692

I love you. Marry me.

And oh, my sister was upgraded to First Class because she is a frequent, frequent flyer (like it’s not funny).
She offered her seat to my mom, but my mom and sister decided to give it to ME, knowing how much I love nice plane seats. I had an amazing time and slept like a baby.
This is Cathay Pacific First Class.

and this wonderful closet—all your stuff is just close by = Love

Unfortunately I didn’t eat because, well, I already had tonkatsu at the airport. I wanted to sleep anyway.

Your food photography always makes me crave! 😀

To be fair, based on all the food pics you’ve posted in this blog, hindi naman sobrang unhealthy yung food mo. It’s a square meal, it’s normal food, and served at average-sized portions. You don’t gobble all the chocolates/snacks you buy in one sitting.

It was certainly unfair to get the holier-than-thou speech if you eat like a normal person. I get to hear similar speeches too, and they always make me want to roll my eyes.

What hkmnlgurl said does not apply to everybody. Genetics play an important role on body type. my sister and i would eat and eat yet we are both 100 lbs even after kids. and ms.cecile can eat and eat whatever she wants and we shouldn’t lecture her or give unsolicited advice because she’s chica as she is. just sayin’.

it’s the reason why i don’t give in to my friends idea of me blogging. daming pakialamera of what you write. basta ako, if i don’t find the blog interesting (am not biased kahit based ang writer.  i’ll keep on reading as long as the writing makes sense) i don’t visit the site neither do i make pakialam especialy if the writer features her personal life.  ako din naman, i constantly whine about my weight but never misses eating out on weekends, and taking pix of what i have devoured. masarap kayang kumain! Hi,  not to offend you Cecile or anything but nakakahalata yata that most of your posts here are all about food but not the Food Critic type of post but what food you ate or will eat or your fave foods. It is no wonder why you tell yourself that you have to go on a diet. It is about reconditioning your brain to stop thinking about food and focus more about being fit and trim so that the brain just stays on the right track. That’s what I do. I don’t think about food and I live in Hong… Read more »

I got upgraded to 1st class on CX for the MNL-HKG leg of my trip to JNB, and it is heaven, indeed! It’s so big you can invite your friends over! And I think in one of the in-flight brochures, they have a photo of a couple on a date in a first class seat. They guy was seated in what was supposed to be the footstool and the table was between them. Haha!

Saboten is amaaazing, i love the tonkatsu – flaky breading with the right proportions of meat and taba. and that sauce with the sesame seeds that you crush with the tiny pestle – to die for.

Wow on 1st class! Talagang may award si Ate. Hehehe.

I am going to Mannings to look for that pill. So you went to The One on Granville, when I saw you heading out of Exit B? I’ve been to that mall once, and there isn’t anything much to see.
