One hot mess (read: awkward)
Posted on

This is why models shouldn’t dance and why dancers don’t belong on the catwalk (no offence!).
Also why Alber Elbaz should confine his dancing skills to the workroom.

they’re battling each other on dance central via kinect.  we play this game at our family parties. my aunts and my mom dance on the sidelines, too. yes, totally embarassing but fun.

I actually like the awkwardness and goofiness of the ad. The stark contrast between sophistication and fun is actually effective on my part. It’s like a breath of fresh air to me.

Ang lamya. Hahaha… But it’s hard for them kasi they still have to appear graceful para hindi ma-overshadow yung clothes… This concept is so alanganin. :l

Aww. I don’t think it’s a hot mess. The whole campaign’s awesome. I LOVE how Lanvin knows how to not take fashion seriously sometimes 🙂 And the awkwardness of the dancers make the campaign charming. I can sense one of the female models is a good dancer, pero it felt like she intentionally made herself lanky. And the music was cheesy, which I bet was a strategic choice. Winner na Alber Elbaz appeared at the end. And when he pushed the male models back, the guys gave out a cute smile. I’ve been noticing Lanvin a lot since their H&M… Read more »

Saw this this morning on Facebook and nearly peed in my pants sa kakatawa. I do think that it’s sadya, as the others here guessed. The awkward moves with the perfect polish of the clothes then that strange un-Lanvin-like music is like a car crash. You just gotta look! Can’t say I find it nice, though! It works kasi it got people to talk, got viral, but it didn’t work kasi sa totoo lang, hindi ko napansin yung clothes anymore!

Saw this last night and found it amusing. I think they really wanted to have the models dance awkwardly/stiffly as pa-effect. At some point, you can see the models counting the steps, and trying to stifle their smiles. Yung entrance ni Alber was sorta (sorta lang) cute. 🙂

Not really a hardcore fashionista but yes, this vid was at least amusing. And hey, it’s going viral for that reason. 🙂 Mission accomplished for them!

Honestly , i like this ad campaign, yeah it’s true the models can’t dance, but for sure Lanvin can find a model/look alike with a kickass moves for this campaign, but this one is more realistic, its fun to see and refreshing, it won’t make a buzz for sure if this campaign was perfectly done. 😉
