“Me” time
Posted on

Yesterday I was getting quite depressed (mid-lifing is more like it).
Much as I love my boys more than anything in the world, sometimes I vant to be alone.
I need some “me” time.
I want to hide and sleep in a place all by myself.
I wish there were a nice nearby hotel I could just hide in. And then I would go home after one sleep.
Luckily I had this trip to Hong Kong planned with my mom and sister.
Tonight I’m at the Four Seasons in my sweats and I’m loving it. I wish we could stay for five days.
I’m not planning to shop that much, although I did shop a little today.
I want to enjoy this room and get some writing done.
Thank God Hong Kong is just next door. Although I have to say nothing beats traveling with the boys.
Here’s what happened today:
NAIA—That renovation sign is still in the same place and this particular restroom is still stuck in the ’70s, although they’re taking great pains to keep it clean and odor free. When will they ever fix it?
Noynoy, please wake up!

The airport Duty Free is on sale, so I finally bought this tiny Celine camera bag I’ve been eyeing—for 70% off.

The airplane was so maluwag. I sat alone and the plane was shaking like crazy, but I was under control. I prayed the Rosary and kept my eye on the flight attendant. If he’s still standing, it’s OK.
My water was shaking. If the glass isn’t falling, it’s OK.

I actually ate a little.

Hi Miss S. I too love IKEA stuffs. I also wanted to bring all items home. Luckily you  can order form this shop here in metro manila. Ikea stuffs you can check-out MOBLER. They have 2 stores here in manila. 1st store is in Makati and 2nd store is in san juan.
You may also order anything you like from the ikea catalog.

I think if you visit the kids in Childhaus your depression will disappear. There’s nothing like face to face donation of time to lift one’s spirits and put things in perspective.

you’re right as I have been to Kythe. but don’t you have to make an appointment? it’s hard to plan these things when depression comes unexpectedly. in fact it’s hard to plan anything at all, except curling up in bed.

Was at IKEA CBay as well earlier (around 6-8pm), had swedish meatballs and grapefruit juice. Was able to sit though. There was this Filipino guy in line that got pissed at a local who had his elderly mom sit where the guy was supposed to sit (his wife was still on the bench with a baby). Local was trying to explain that he was just letting his mom rest while the Filipino guy was buying food. Kaso language barrier. Sira-ulong Filipino, pinagmumura yung local. 🙁 Kakahiya.
