Yay! I’m in Hong Kong for work and my best friend is here!

We arrived last night. The roommate went straight to bed. No pictures please!

Broke my diet for lunch. I don’t care anymore what the thinnest girl in Hong Kong thinks.
Jeroen and I had soft shell crabs

Breaded oysters and tonkatsu

IMG_3389

They have the best sauces

IMG_3372

I let chef grind the sesame seeds

Coke here has no HFCS (high fructose corn syrup). They use real sugar. Yes, Jay, I had one Coke.

Saw this pig art on the street

They should offer this in Manila, for parties: the macaron pyramid

Just the way I like it: no frills

Sauces on the side

IMG_3599

I had the fries

IMG_3598

Cause I had another dinner at Hotel Lan Kwai Fong

IMG_3610

I bought the Porter bag earlier

IMG_3616

Dinner was a salad

They have the best restroom on the 29th floor

Quick stop at Ikea. Tomorrow I’m going to buy this chair.

Empire makes macaron pyramids. Their macarons are very sweet but pretty good.  Where is Betty’s Kitchen and what restaurant were the soft shell crabs from? [Reply]CVS Reply:July 29th, 2011 at 11:34 AMbetty’s kitchen at IFC , soft shell crabs from Tonkichi [Reply]DontaskmetosmileTwitter: tightsarntpants Reply:July 29th, 2011 at 4:33 PMNot to be a Debbie Downer, but I don’t like Empire’s macarons at all. I’ve tried them more than once (I gave them multiple chances to redeem themselves) but they’re really not nice. Too sweet, the biscuits are the wrong texture… Basta. Pangit talaga.
