Have you been to Howard’s?
Posted on

My friend Jude and I both uttered silent screams when we (separately) walked into the newest wasteland to open at Shangri-La Plaza.
The store has a funny name—Howard’s Storage World—and it’s packed with all kinds of kitchen gadgets and organizing stuff for obsessive-compulsives like us.

Opened last March 4, 2011, the Australian franchise was brought in by the Robinson’s Group.
This 400-square-meter space is the second branch in Manila; the first one having opened at Robinson’s Ermita in March 2010.
Most recently the store introduced a bridal registry. Plus you can shop to your heart’s content as the store offers 0% interest installment schemes from participating credit card companies.

Check out the goodies:

I love that you’re into organizing as well cos that’s how I learn about these stores here in Manila! I first heard of Muji coming here from you and this one too since I don’t have time to go around malls anymore! Thanks for sharing 🙂

I remember my first time here, I was going to True Value in Shang coz they’re on sale (renovating), and my husband called me to check this new shop, as soon as I entered, I was like ‘Oh! why did you bring me here!’, didn’t realize I said it out loud. And the other shoppers smiled and said ‘We know how you feel!’. came home with bags of stuff we didn’t really need. I just shopped without checking the price of the items. When my husband paid, I think he finally realized what a bad move it was to call… Read more »

I entered this store first week of May and I thought I died and was in heaven.  But I had just arrived from the States where I bought a lot of the stuff they carry but sold in TJ Maxx where I still buy it 60% off retail price.  Still, the price of items in Howard’s is reasonable and much cheaper than Howard’s in Singapore.

Jaw-dropping cooool items! Thanks for sharing, is this the store that replaced True Value?  Excited to go to Shang to check this out! [Reply]CVS Reply:May 28th, 2011 at 12:27 AMtrue value is still there, but downsized 😉 [Reply]Gwen Castaneda Reply:June 7th, 2011 at 4:58 PMHi Ms. Cecile.  I would just like to let you know that True Value Shangri-la did not downsize. We just renovated and expanded. In fact, True Value now occupies close to 2,000 sqm of space. I hope you could find time to visit the bigger and better True Value Shangri-la. I bought the baguum here www.facebook.com/baguum instead since they have the smaller pump which is really convenient especially for travelling like so:

Light and it wouldn’t have to take up a lot space in the house.

EEEeeeee mababaliw ako dito! Thanks for sharing this. Another wasteland, yes! A wasteland version of Make Room? *happy*

This is a welcome addition to Japan Home, Saizen, etc.

I got our ELFA closet system from their store in Robinson’s Place last year.  Naiinggit kasi ako sa mga closet Clean House.  Para na rin kaming binisita ni Niecy Nash.
