Fashion Exchange International (FEI) recently teamed up with Samsung for a two-day event at the Marriott Manila, where Samsung showcased the Gear 360 as its 360-degree camera captured moments as they happened.
The Samsung Gear VR, on the other hand, allowed guests to relive fashion moments through virtual reality.
The event was filled with advances in technology, intended to match what Filipino designers need to go global. In Fashionology Talks, Joey Mead-King hosted a forum with designers (L-R) Francis Libiran, Rosenthal Tee, and Rajo Laurel, who shared ideas on the role of fashion in today’s world.
PR and marketing specialist Carmina Sanchez-Jacob, events director Robby Carmona, businesswoman and fashion icon Valerie Lim, and Asia Pacific MNC corporate veteran Henry Chan founded FEI to open more opportunities for Filipino designers in the international market.
Saverio, whose pieces have been worn by Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, and Jennifer Lawrence, showcased his collection via a fashion show at the Marriott Grand Ballroom.
FEI also staged a Buyer’s Show consisting of the ready-to-wear collections of Laurel, Libiran, Aseron and Lustico. The presentations of the four designers were documented using Samsung Gear 360 units stationed at different areas, to capture different points of view in fashion, allowing anyone to see the whole picture as if they were there.
These photos were taken using a Samsung Galaxy 7.
