ICanServe Foundation presents Fashion Can Serve at the Raffles Makati Ballroom this October 13, 2016.
The theme for this year’s fundraising effort is We Don’t Walk Alone, featuring the designs of Dennis Lustico, Rosanna Ocampo-Rodriguez, Patrice Ramos-Diaz, Randy Ortiz, Mark Bumgarner, and Patty Ang.

In keeping with the theme, a number of courageous women will walk the runway with their loved ones.
These include Bibeth Orteza and son Rafa Siguion Reyna, mother-daughter pairs Beth Romualdez and Via Reyes, Chuchu Madrigal Eduque and Alex and Dr. Baby Gozali and Kara, sisters Frances Yu and Crickette Tantoco, sisters-in-law Margarita and Malou Fores (both cancer survivors), Amanda LuYm and close friend Cacay Moras, Rita Nareno and Maxine Chua.

The muses will make the proud statement that ICanServe Foundation has long been encouraging survivors to take: I am alive, I am here, and I am beautiful.

“When it comes to fighting cancer and the journey back to health, one is always grateful for not having to walk the difficult path alone, so this time our muses will walk with someone who is either a family member or a good friend, who was with them during their battle,” said Libet Virata, chairman of the ICanServe Foundation board.

Through the Fashion Can Serve fundraising event, ICanServe hopes to raise support for its flagship program Ating Dibdibin, which was first established in 2007.
Ating Dibdibin is the first comprehensive community-based breast screening program that educates barangay health workers and residents on how to perform the proper breast exam to help detect signs as well as increase the chances of early treatment.

Established in 1999, ICanServe is one of the biggest and most influential foundations dedicated to breast cancer awareness and screening in the Philippines.
“At ICanServe, there is a thriving community of women, survivors and volunteers who want to help and are filled with optimism and faith. They’ve conquered cancer, so anyone can, too. It’s inspiring. It’s contagious. It’s life-saving,” said Kara Alikpala, ICanServe Foundation founder.

This year, Fashion Can Serve’s partners for the fundraising event include Philip Stein, Sun Life of Canada (Philippines) Inc., Marie France, Security Bank, Del Monte (Philippines), Medical City, Estee Lauder and Mercedes Benz. Media partners are Summit Media, 2nd Avenue, Philippine Star, Philippine Daily Inquirer and Golden Touch.
