Casa Artusi hosts pasta-making classes and degustation in Manila

Italy’s premier culinary institution Casa Artusi recently held hands-on cooking classes at The Commissary, Whitespace, Makati last November 26 with restaurateur Margarita Forés and Casa Artusi executive chef Carla Brigliadori.
Traditional pasta shapes, basic pasta sauces, piadina and selected antipasto, lifted from Pellegrino Artusi’s bible of a cookbook Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well were taught to students, both young and old.

Forés launched the very first offshore campus of the prestigious school in Manila back in 2012 and sets things back in motion this year. Apart from the classes, Forés and Brigliadori will prepare a special one-night only degustation on December 4, 2014.

These are just a taste of things to come from the Manila satellite branch as Fores holds more classes next year.
