This Sunday evening, January 10, 2016, Rated K on ABS-CBN will air Korina Sanchez Roxas’ exclusive interview with Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach.
“It’s not difficult to interview Pia,” said Korina. “She is smart, witty and fun. She has many interesting stories to tell.”
The new Miss Universe arrived at Central Park for her talk with Korina straight from an interview with CNN, and looked every inch a new Yorker in her camel-coloured outfit.
During the interview, Pia shared with Korina her feelings about having New York as her homebase during her reign, while she travels the world to fulfil her duties.
Pia will arrive in Manila on January 23, 2016 as Bb. Pilipinas arranges a grand welcome for the country’s third Miss Universe titleholder.
“She is very excited to come home before she gets too busy,” shared Korina in her Instagram account. Rated K airs Sunday evenings on ABS-CBN after Wansapanataym.
Zosia Mamet is probably my favorite actress in HBO’s Girls, where she plays the bubbly chatterbox Shoshanna Shapiro.
Now she appears in a short film by Kate Spade, along with singer/actress Anna Kendrick of the hit movie Pitch Perfect and the Twilight TV series. The Joy Ride is Episode 4 of Kate Spade New York’s #missadventure series. It is a continuation of the successful Holiday 2014, Spring 2015 and Fall 2015 short films that the brand had previously released with Anna Kendrick . The Joy Ride picks up right where the Fall 2015 film left off, with Anna departing The Russian Tea Room after a chance encounter with Gloria Steinem.
Directed by Mari Heller, the film is set on location in New York City. It begins as Anna and Zosia decide to share a car on a wintry party-filled night. But when politeness delays their destination decision, their driver bows out to use the restroom. Left in the backseat alone, the two become fast friends, and decide to take this holiday trip into their own hands.
“It was such a treat to work with Anna Kendrick and Zosia Mamet on the 4th installment of our MissAdventure series,” shared Deborah Lloyd, President and Chief Creative Officer of kate spade new york.
“Both women are incredibly witty and spontaneous—the true kate spade new york girl—and their personalities played off of each other in an amusing and unpredictable way.”
In the Philippines, Kate Spade New York is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., a member of SSI Group Inc., and is located at The Power Plant Mall, Greenbelt 3, Rustan’s Makati, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Newport Mall and Bonifacio High Street Central Square. https://www.ssilife.com.ph/
Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic was a TV show that ran from 1999-2003 on channels E! and the Style Network.
It was my cousin Chelo’s favorite show; I used to hear it from her all the time.
I never paid attention because, well, I didn’t use to watch TV at that time.
My last trip to New York was spent going back to the places I used to know, including shops.
Walking around SoHo one afternoon, Grace and I stumbled upon this store on 117 Mercer Street. (Uhm, can I just say I love this street??)
I was attracted to the crazy petticoat lamps hanging from the ceiling. I nearly bought them!
Lucky for my husband, I couldn’t imagine how to take them home or where to place them.
It was inside the store where I finally got to know Rachel Ashwell’s world.1
I really wanted this antique lamp but the thought of how to take it home stressed me.
Grace and I went downstairs. Luckily, nobody followed us. I could take pictures!
I love all the overstuffed furniture in white. They felt like clouds after a day of walking.
This reminds me of my grandmother
I truly, madly fell in love with the Russian Folk Beds in the back. I want!!!
I decided to buy and handcarry this lamp for my studio.
