MAC Cosmetics launches its first wave of its lip kits today at all of its stores nationwide.
Kylie Jenner may have been the first to come up with lip kits but before that, she was wearing MAC Lip Liners in Spice, Soar and Whirl.
MAC has bundled seven of its bestselling nude shades with Lip Liners into seven sets.
They include Mehr Lipstick and Soar, Velvet Teddy and Boldly Bare, Stone Lipstick and Stone, Taupe Lipstick and Hover, Honeylove Lipstick and Subculture, Whirl Lipstick and Whirl and Twig Lipstick and Half Red.
The lip kits will sell for Php 1,785 each, a 15% discount if you prefer to buy a lipstick and lip liner individually.
The Lip Kits will be available until February 18, 2017 only.
As official makeup sponsor of Miss Universe 2016, M·A·C Cosmetics was present during the first five days of the Miss Universe Candidates in the Philippines.
Upon arrival in Manila, the candidates went through interviews, fittings and final registration to be officially signed as a candidate for the pageant.
M·A·C Cosmetics helped all 68 candidates get glammed up for their official photoshoots. Each candidate was also given a Miss Universe Kit complement their skin tones.
Miss Costa Rica loves her kit.
My neighbor Apple Faraon is a M.A.C makeup artist. When I asked her who her bets are, she said, “All of them are beautiful.
M.A.C sent me hundreds of photos of the first five days. After going through all of them, I came up with my choices for Best in Makeup.
While Miss Albania has an interesting face and shocking hair, I feel her beauty is more for runway than beauty pageant.
Miss Brazil has a beautiful face, but I think her hair looks dated (read: ’80s). She could pass for a contravida in Dynasty.
I feel like this T-shirt isn’t flattering to Miss Colombia. But I am partial to her because she looks like Kerry Washington, who I love.
The white T-shirt looks better on Miss Philppines
Miss Indonesia looks like a winner
Miss Kenya looks perfect
Beautiful Miss Kosovo
Ayaw ni Donald Trump: Miss Mexico
Makeup perfection: Miss Nigeria
Miss Vietnam could pass for prim and proper Mocha Uson
Congrats to the M.A.C Philippines team for an amazing job!
For Spring 2016, MAC Cosmetics recently launched its Flamingo Park collection, featuring different shades and textures of pink, yellow, green, blue and other bright hues.
For the Philippine launch, the Penthouse, Twenty-Four Seven McKinley was transformed into an indoor park, where members of the press, bloggers, influencers and celebrities were served iced cookies, cakes and pink punch.
Guests played croquet, sat on park benches, or posed for pictures on pink gingham picnic mats laid out on astroturf.
Of course, everyone had fun watching makeup demos and trying out all the products, like actress Kris Bernal

Watch out Kris Aquino. There’s a mega endorser in town and it’s not you (and it’s not Sharon, hehe).
She can sell anything from canned sardines to MAC lipstick.
She’s not an It Girl. She has no showbiz lineage. And she didn’t even try.
Like many teens today, she grew up on technology. She also happens to be gifted in creating viral Dubsmash videos. Eat Bulaga‘s new golden girl is Maine Mendoza, also known as Yaya Dub or 1/2 of Kalyeserye’s phenomenal love team, AlDub.
Earlier while watching Eat Bulaga, I noticed that almost all the girls in the audience were wearing bright red lipstick and found it very strange. I knew it had to do with Yaya Dub whose lipstick shade, quite frankly, bothers me.
But makeup addict Dinna Vasquez told me Maine was wearing MAC Cosmetics’ Ruby Woo, according to makeup artist Krist Bansuelo who did her makeup for a recent TV commercial.
Said Dinna: “Ruby Woo is one of MAC Cosmetics’ iconic shades. The cool-toned red isn’t easy to wear. It has MAC’s Retro Matte formula, which can be very drying. But if you want attention-getting lips, Ruby Woo is the way to go.”
After Krist Bansuelo used the shade on Maine Mendoza, many of her fans wanted their own tube of Ruby Woo.
According to MAC sales people, Ruby Woo is sold out in most of the brand’s 14 branches because of Yaya Dub.
Women would come in and ask, “Which one is Yaya Dub’s lipstick?”
Ruby Woo was a difficult shade to find even before Yaya Dub, and now it’s almost impossible to find.
Dinna’s hint: If Ruby Woo is out of stock and you want something close, Russian Red is the exact dupe but in a different finish.
