Welcome to my office space, Part 2
Posted on

Last October 24, 2013, I got my office space at the Fort. From that time until November, I was obsessed with fixing it.
December was very hectic for me. Besides Christmas and new year festivities, there were a couple of birthdays (my mom and Christian), my parents’ golden wedding anniversary, and the Grand Zamora Reunion—which all occurred on December 19, 24, 29, 31 and January 4.
New Year officially began for me this week as I recovered from all the physical and emotional stress December brings.
It made me glad to have an office space where I don’t feel cluttered and sleepy, where friends visit me.
After buying the main pieces of furniture it was time to choose wallpaper.

Office space

My husband and I are big fans of Piet Hein Eek, which we discovered in the Netherlands care of my father-in-law.
Luckily there are a few rolls available in Manila. I chose this one

The guy who applied it did an amazing job within hours!

Amazing how wallpaper can change the mood of a room just like that

I met up with Pipo Garcia of Archion Architects and showed him my pegs for wall furniture.
We decided to focus on these two. I usually go by feel, for example, the picture of this office space makes my heart flutter.

That’s ususally a sign that it’s right.

I’m not a professional designer so I consult many people before making a decision.
Pipo did a rush job over the holidays

They did a great job on the wall furniture.

Et voila! This is how it looked yesterday. That poster on the floor should be up by tomorrow

Secret Fresh launches Eraserheads toys
Posted on

Secret Fresh proudly announces its biggest and most highly anticipated designer toy/vinyl collectible—a collaboration between Secret Fresh, Korean designer toy artist Coolrain, and one of the most successful, influential, critically acclaimed and significant bands in the history of Original Pilipino Music, the Eraserheads.

Eraserheads toys

The Eraserheads was formed in the ’90s by Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro when they were students at U.P. Diliman.
From their first independently released album, Ultraelectromagneticpop! came a string of number one singles and top selling albums, like Circus and Cutterpillow, which achieved platinum status several times.
The Eraserheads received the Viewer’s Choice Award for Asia during the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards for their music video Ang Huling El Bimbo directed by award-winning director Aureus Solito. They are the first and only Filipino band to have won the highly coveted Moon Man trophy from MTV.

Eraserheads

The Eraserheads toys are a dream project of Secret Fresh owner and toy collector Big Boy Cheng who is also a fan of the band.
Reminiscent of the Kidrobot-released vinyl toys for the concept band Gorillaz, the Eraserheads toys feature all four members with their respective instruments, and packaged as a set in editions of 500. (Price: Php 11,200)
Each figure stands 21 cm and has articulated hands and heads.
