Midtown Manhattan

So I found out I’m no longer a midtown kind of girl. I would like to take Jeroen to New York once but not stay in midtown where everything is normy and touristy (no offence). I would like to stay downtown instead.
Not too long after I had settled in the hotel, I heard the doorbell ring.
Grace and Alexei had walked over from their friend’s place.

Alexei and Grace

Alexei studies in NYU and Grace is a graduate of Fordham, so they know the place pretty well.
Since it was late at night only a few places were open. The weather was cool.
Across from the Peninsula hotel is the St. Regis

Two blocks away is the Trump Tower

One block away is the Louis Vuitton store where Yayoi Kusama recently launched her collection

It hate Duane Reade. Each visit costs a minimum of $200, it’s not even funny.

It has crazy things. Don’t worry, I didn’t buy these weird scents

Kids here like myself (right) can eat a pint of Ben & Jerry’s like nothing. I still do it once in a while but that would be my meal be it dinner or lunch.
Or I go for Cold Stone

one of my greatest pleasures in NYC is Duane Reade (and Clyde’s on the Upper East Side) because I can shop if I can’t sleep. (but then the wierdos make me fear for my life!) European pharmacies are a lot better but being Europe, they are never open….

I’ve bought a bottle of  the Laundromat scent out of curiosity. I used it as a room spray because I didn’t want to end up smelling like labada. :) It wasn’t that bad I think. I know Demeter even has a Cannabis scented one. Go figure!

Nalula ako sa dami ng Haagen Dazs! Galing ng willpower mo, Ms. C. :)

My friend wants me to buy a Demeter scent for her called “Dirt”. I thought “Dirt” was weird, meron pa palang Funeral Home and Holy Water and Fuzzy Navel. Hahahaha.

Last three pictures are not showing, by the way.
