Last July 8, I wrote this entry to ask donations for Anna Carmela “Chikki” Kho who was battling leukemia.
Chikki died yesterday morning following complications from pneumonia.

Her remains will lie at Room 211 of the Sanctuarium, Quezon Avenue corner Araneta Avenue until Friday night. Interment will be on the early morning of Saturday.
Her friends will continue to push through with their garage sale to pay for the family’s expenses, and to benefit especially her two-year-old son, Liam.

    Tuesday was unforgettable for the nation, and for us it was like a double hit. First Chikki, then Dolphy. Thank you, Ms. C, for helping us spread the news. We are brokenhearted and sad beyond words, but God breathes hope into our hearts when we remember the resurrection. God bless your day.

    Ms C, I cried seeing this. It was so fast. One time we were just emailing because we’re in dire need of help as she was still in the ICU, battling her illness fiercely, then a day later, she was gone. Just, surreal. Last night we closed her wake with a final memorial service for her. It was beautiful. Really, in the end, only God knows, He knows better than us. And I believe she is healed and she is now in a better place. She is with the Lord, and that gives me great comfort.
