How to find your future partner via KLM

When I turned 30, I focused on meeting the right person and getting married so I could have children.
I feel so lucky to have married at the age of 33, and become a mother at 34 and 36. I hurried with my second child as my OB-GYNE said it is safest to have kids until 37.
Then I heard this story about a woman in her mid-30s whose biological clock was ticking.
More than getting married, she wanted to have a child. So what she did on her fertile days was to hang out at the poolside of a five-star hotel, where hooked up with a smart and good-looking afam (foreigner) and conceived.
Nine months later and still single, she gave birth to a future supermodel.

Aside from lounging by the pool, I’ve also heard of single women who purposely ride business class in the hope of sitting next to a rich and successful businessman. Now it looks like KLM is making it easier for passengers with an agenda.
KLM’s Meet & Seat program allows you to find out who will be on your KLM flight through their Facebook or LinkedIn profiles and find out where they’ll be sitting.

To me it sounds scary. What are your thoughts on Meet & Seat? Is it yay or nay?

I used to know of this woman who hung out at the old Giraffe bar in Makati, exactly trying to get impregnated by an afam.  She got her wish, and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.  Years later, she found out that both she and her daughter have HIV.  Sadness.

Business class seat not necessary. But, lounge access is awesome.

First, there’s champagne (or at least, prosecco), and lighting is always flattering. Very conducive to meeting quality guys.

Sorry for going off-tangent, but am I the only one perturbed by the story of the woman who willingly had unprotected sex with strangers?

I find the whole “boink a stranger to get a baby” M.O. odd, but of course the sex had to be unprotected for her plan to work and that was probably in the pre-HIV days. Of course, there are other STDs, but it was HIV that scared people into using protection.

I can’t think of any person who would go through such lengths except for egotists and serial killers.

I’ve taken KLM a few times, once in Business Class. I don’t remember who I sat beside, but I certainly remember the nice porcelain dutch houses they put into my amenities kit!

Maybe the IT people of IATA and FB should share their software code and make the whole thing a ‘seamless’ experience, and make it default!  Also, if you really wanted some peace and quiet, state that you’ll be travelling with your 8 month old baby – once on the flight, you will discover empty seats beside, behind and in front of you. Great strategy!

In my experience, 90 to 95% of the hotties on airplanes are in coach, making your chances of sitting next to one in business or first class very low.  This is especially true on international flights.  Unless of course your goal is to meet an MMMM… matandang mayaman, madaling mamatay. :)

Don’t like. Sounds creepy. Can’t imagine wanting to talk to someone all the way though a long-haul flight.

Oh and I didn’t realize you became a mother at 34! Makes me feel better. :)

I wish they’d do it for all airlines. I mostly get seated beside weirdos. I travel alone 99% of the time so I just want to make sure I’m not sitting beside a psycho.
