McDonald's letter

My note:

Dear Dorothy,
I will continue to patronize McDonald’s all over the world, but I will probably never use your unreliable online delivery service. I am better off sending the driver, eating at home, or buying Jollibee. :)
Hope that my blog entry will push McDonald’s to improve their online delivery service for the sake of many hungry people in the Philippines.

    They should have given you a gift card after that or maybe a free meal or future meal to make for it… not just a “sorry we apologize”… lol! I had the same experience here in the USA but that was Wendy’s… and they gave us a “On the House” coupon…. shame on Mcdo… :( Buy Jollibee na lang “)

    They replied to you that way because it’s already blogged. Still, not too-satisfactory. Plus, known personality ka po. No offense to you po though …. it’s more of; well, Mcdo’s bad publicity is still publicity thingie for them. Tapos, wala ring compensation for bad customer service sayo? Well, not that you really demanded. Pero Ms. C, I doubt how they treat other unknown entities who complained about their crappy service. I know a few folks who didn’t get feedback at all. Mga officemates. Haaay.

    Oh well … sige na nga. At least they replied to you. :)

    Uu nga noh. Alam naman pala yung address n’yo Ms. C, bakit di na lang nagpadala ng bonggang-bonggang McDo items with a personalized card and an apology. Tama nga ang ibang nag-comment: masyadong template at canned response :(

    Oo nga what’s the compensation for the bad customer service? I ordered Lumpiang Shanghai in Chow King for take out one time and they forgot to put the sauce, I texted their hotline text number and a customer service rep called me right away, said the manager of the branch where I ordered will call me. True enough the manager called the following day, apologized and sent me halo halo. One time naman, I ordered Palabok for take out na naman and when I got home, the Palabok is so dry, as in ang konti ng sauce, texted their hotline number and the manager apologized again and told me that if ever I go to their branch again hanapin ko lang daw sya. Well, of course napasyal ako dun again, and she gave me Chickenjoy and palabok, gave my kids free stuff pa. In fairness naman to me, I’m a regular customer there. 

    E sa McDonald’s “discuss further” pa, they should have sent you food na lang to express their apology.

    Is “offering to deliver an hour after you have waited for an hour and say you still need to pay for your order” Mc Donald’s way of “total customer satisfaction” ?

    The incident happened April 23 and was “immediately” send to ms Dorothy, still it took her another 2 days to respond by letter and to ask if she could “discuss” this further?? Funny, she knows the address that ordered so she could have send over some food, GC`s + a Sorry letter the following day. Now she wants to discuss the matter, not much to discuss honey.

    that’s why i don’t like the one-phone number of any fastfood delivery service. i try to call the branch nearest to wherever i am. problem with those with 24-hour service is that not all branches are open 24 hours. they will try to locate the “nearest” branch to take your order. when i was still working the night shift in a deluxe hotel, the agent told us that the rider would be coming from a certain branch which was a bit far from the hotel. we had no choice but to wait.

    so far, service of greenwich online delivery was okay when i placed an order. i got a call from an agent asking to verify my order coz the one that i placed wasn’t available anymore.

    in terms of customer service, so far, Jollibee group has a better set up compared to McDo. all of their fastfood companies have contact numbers for comments and suggestions. even online.  compared to McDo which doesn’t have any.

    once i posted an email in Jollibee’s site and after about 30 minutes i got a call from a customer service rep asking about my comment. i’ve also gotten prompt feedback from their text numbers.
