The worst: mcdelivery.com.ph

Hello, we are jetlagging!
It is 2:10 AM in Manila and my sons and I are wide awake.
At 12:44 AM earlier I placed an order at mcdelivery.com.ph.
Within seconds I received this reply on my BlackBerry:

While waiting for my phone to ring, I took the boys to the kitchen to turn on the lights and set the table.
One hour later I called 86236 to follow up on our order. The guy who answered the phone (Erwin) said he would ask someone to call me back on the matter. Nobody did. So I called again 86236 and spoke to the same guy.
I was already angry and telling him I placed the order an hour ago and we are starving. He then said they had just received my order now (as in, one hour later) and take note, I have to wait another hour for the order to come. That means our order would’ve come at 2:44 AM. Tama ba yon?
I went absolutely nuts, I can’t tell you.
Normally other companies like Shakey’s give your order for free if they’re one hour late, but McDonald’s Delivery said I would still have to pay for an order that would have been two hours late, thank you very much.
Thank God, Markus had the initiative to take a pack of rookwurst out of the chiller, which we microwaved and ate with some rice.

I’ve used McDelivery many, many times, and while this isn’t the first time they screwed up, this is the first time I’m not getting any food. I wonder, are your call center agents sleeping on the job?

    I googled for McDo’s website and I came across here. Naalala ko yung encounter ko with McDo before. I placed an order at 10AM then 1PM dumating yung pagkain. Ang tagal lang bago tumawag. Kainis we were starving. Nagdadalawang isip na tuloy akong magpadeliver ngayon. Haha!

    gosh same thing happen to me today.. i placed the order online, got a phone call after 5mins for order confirmation. the agent told me that my order will b deliver in 30mins, time check is 12:46. So i’m expecting my order will be deliver around 1:16 am. Pero 1:30am wala pa rin, so i pinalabas ko ung cousin ko to check. 1:45 am dumating cousin ko, sabi nya ang tagal daw dumating nung nagdedeliver pagcheck ko nung order ko kulang ng 2 large fries pero dun s reciept naka include ung 2 large fries. so i called their hotline, sabi nung agent n hindi man lang nag apologize for the inconvenience me tatawag daw skin after 15mins 2:00 ala pa rin tumatawag. so tumawag ulit ako for follow-up ung 2nd agent hindi ulit rin nag apologize. i ask kung puede makuha ung number nung branch nila dito s conception malabon kc 5mins away lang naman s house namin un. pero sabi nung agent nagfollow up na daw sila. so on the d way na raw un. which is tama naman sya after 10min dumating ung order kong sobrang tigas ng fries at sangdamakmak n ketchup which is very unusual. so i assume naiwan nung delivery man ung order ko na more than an hour nang naluto kaya ganun katigas at dinamihan na lng nila ung ketchup para magkalasa ung fries.damn! very poor customer service!!!!

    same thing happened to me ngayon lang! ordered at 3pm, dumating around 4pm na. 1 hour late. okay so meo mainit pa fries, ung tipong pag hinawakan mo mga 2 seconds lang wala na ung init hehe. made my order online, akala ko mas ok un kasi diba madali nga umorder through their site. kaso ang lapit lapit lang namin sa mcdo imus, pero inabot pa rin ng 1 hour. kaya nga umorder na lang kasi ayoko lumabas ng bahay. plus 40 lang charge nila saka no minimum orders hehe. badtrip lang, wala man lang sorry or anything to compensate for them being late. sheesh. sana jabi na lang. o kfc. sabaw gravy pa.

    This also happened to us. We placed the order online at around 1:30 in the afternoon, got an email a few minutes later and got the food a little more than 2 hours later. I was so furious because they still made us pay and the order was not complete pa. That’s why I don’t eat at McDo anymore. We filed a complaint immediately and all they could offer us was a ‘VIP’ status–which means we get priority whenever my name comes up in their system. as if naman.

    i’m not surprised because i did the same thing last year when i arrived in mactan international airport at 1:00am from singapore and i have to wait for my flight to bacolod at 7:00am. i was hungry, really hungry. while waiting at the lounge of cebu domestic airport i ordered around 1:30am, i got  call around 2:00am, order arrived 4:00am!!

    That’s true, Ms. C. The last time I ordered McDo in Manila, I think it was around 11pm or so and they said the nearest branch that was still open and could deliver was 1 hour and 30 mins away. So I ended up saying no. Maybe that’s how it happens – they try to find a branch that’s open nearest to your place kaya naging que bagal at que tagal dumating.

    Ok na ko sa soggy fries. Ang fries nila ngayon naninigas na pag hindi fresh from the frier talaga. As in hindi na edible pag lumamig na. Mura lang naman ang patatas, bat kailangang haluan ng semento, tsk!

    A few months back, I ordered by phone.  An hour passed and I call again, asking which outlet will deliver to us.  Funny thing is I was told it was McDonald’s El Pueblo; my address is not even a kilometer away from their Pearl Drive Branch.  Anyway, I called El Pueblo directly.  This made me truly mad.  Literally 30 minutes after I spoke with the supervisor or someone with such title, I was still on the line forced to listen to their endless chatter.  No answer on when I get my delivery.

    That was the last time I ever ordered from McDonald’s.  Not worth it.

    Something almost similar happened to me. I ordered online and waited for the text or call confirmation. 30 minutes passed and no confirmation from McDo. this is unusual because confirmation is usually 5 minutes after placing an order. I called up to follow up and I was told no online order was received. And if wala daw ako natanggap na confimation text or email ibig sabihin the order is not received by them. Then I was told to place the order via phone na lang. i said never mind na lang. I ordered sa ibang restaurant na lang. After another half hour, my McDo order arrived. Ang labo! They said they did not receive. i said never mind na lang. No confirmation receieved after the confirmation dahil syempre no order was placed na nga. I paid na lang din. Naawa naman ako sa nagdeliver kung di ko ireceive. Pero ayun ang dami ko tuloy food. Kakainis lang.

    When I am hungry, I can eat a person…sobrang nakakainit ng ulo. In fairness to Shakeys, yeah…the food is free talaga if they were late. One instance, the delivery guy said he was late because he was lost. Well, is it the customers fault? So di na sya naka-react.

    Same thing happened to me.  I ordered online and the order didn’t get forwarded to the call ctr.  Seems they have a problem with orders being handed over from the website to the call ctr.  I get wary now of ordering food online not just from McDo, but from other food places too here. Online ordering systems don’t seem efficient enough yet.  The order frequently gets lost in the system.  It’s easier to just call their hotline numberes and order there nalang.  I just use the websites to check the menus and prices.

    they are always late!!!! regardless of the time you call them… i remember i ordered mcdo for lunch and order arrived an hour or so after, the delivery man told us that “sorry po but tumigil po kami ng trabaho sa branch kasi di pa po kami sumasahod” heller! idadamay nila ang customers nila???

    seriously the WORST delivery service eeeeeeeeeeeeever. asked around after my last bad experience with them…. and most of the people i asked said they alllllll got the same response….. ummmm sir your order just got transmitted. i’m like, WTF?!?!?! do they courier that purchase order to the store that’s supposedly going to deliver our food? honestly i’ve reaaaaallly never had a single good experience with these guys. been an avid fan of their food but cuz of this bruhaha i totally stopped going to their establishments. i even go as far as convincing people i’m with, to not even eat there when i’m with them. they totally don’t know wtf they’re doing.

    I have a similar experience but with Shakeys. The good thing about Shakeys, the moment I placed my order, they already set the proper expectation that it will take 1 hour for them to deliver the item. At least Shakeys is honest :)

    Hey guys! You guys are complaining about their late deliveries. But there is a major thing to complain about this gigantic food chain. Have you ever tried to think about the taste of the food they feeding on you? Many didn’t notice that because of course, its mcdo. But if you put your brain on your tongue, you will gonna see that they are slowly killing you. Try to taste their food very much next time you eat at mcdo. Expecially the breading of their chicken and their french fries, and their gravy, the patty. Before i really luv mcdo than J********. But now, it taste like your eating salts. Yes, their food are too salty. What does the DFA are doing. And the DOH. UTI is not a joke. Because its a giant food chain, doesn’t it need anymore attention? Not only mcdo, but also other food company. Like chowking, sometimes their serving food that slightly ‘panis’ na. Usually the chopsuey. Because we paid it already, and we’re rushing, we just inject it to our stomach. People doesn’t notice it, because their appetite blinded them plus the thinking that its a popular fast food. I think we should make an agency that will screen all the foods that the greedy people are selling just to get the buyer’s money, and not caring for them at all.

    Its a personal preference if you want to eat fastfood (Mcdonalds for that sake) or not. But the problem being stated here is that its supposedly a FASTfood that provides FASTservice. No offense man, but I think you did not get the point.

    McDelivery in Singapore once took over 3 hours to deliver to me when I was sick and had no food at home. The reason? Naligaw daw ang rider. In Singapore. Ang liit-liit na nga eh…

    It happens to me all the time. Sometimes, they don’t even say sorry. Laging reason yung call center relay of orders. IMO, every delivery service should have a “Late and it’s Free” note. We are paying customers kasi. Lalo pa may proof tayo dahil nasa confirmation email yung timeline nila. 

    Lagi kong sinasabi sa mga delivery man na late, “Kung nakakaya nga ng Pizza Hut na di ma-late, bakit kayo hindi?” Considering the fact that pizzas need to be baked, whereas yung McDo, almost all the time, naka-prepare na lahat.

    yeah, ok ang pizza hut. a friend had a good experience there due to a late delivery. they were supposed to get the pizzas free since late nga dumating. but then tumawag yung sa branch, kawawa naman daw kasi sila magshoshoulder ng cost. they offered to send additional pizzas na lang. so double the pizzas hahaha!

    I cringe at the thought of people getting hungry over a service that’s supposed to be full proof since they use it for everyday operations. I don’t think its right, and worse these are kids… kawawa naman :( . I could have talked to a manager in this case and demand what I deserve.
