June Keithley talks about her journey with cancer

angelo castro jr.

Veteran broadcast journalist and news anchor Angelo Castro Jr. has died after a fight against lung cancer.
He was 67.
And while my Twitter feed is filled with messages of mourning and gratitude, my heart goes out to his children, especially his wife June Keithley, who continues her own brave battle with breast cancer, which has now metastasized to her brain.
Watch and be inspired as June tells her story, which was broadcast only three days ago on ABS-CBN.

I watched a portion of the interview with my Mom. Quite the interview, considering what she’s going through (what grace and spirit!)

Also found out that June Keithley used to be one of my lola’s students in St. Paul (my late lola was a Science teacher, natch!)

Another thing I noticed was how Tina Monzon-Palma conducted the interview. Professional interviewing, ladies and gents. Professional!

She reminds me of a favorite quote that says “Living in the love of God is like being in the eye of a hurricane. The storm may twirl around you, but in that center there is perfect peace.” GOD WILL ALWAYS BE FAITHFUL.
