Chuck Hughes at Greenbelt 3 Open Park this February 26

We watch so many cooking shows at home, I can’t keep track of all the hot new chefs.
Who exactly is Chuck Hughes?

The Canadian celebrity chef and host of Chuck’s Day Off will meet Filipino fans on February 26, 2012 at the Greenbelt 3 Open Park, at 6 PM.
For this event, the audience will be treated to live rock and roll music, while Chef Hughes demonstrates unique dishes such as Crispy Sockeye Salmon Fillet, Pan-grilled Scallops on Green Gazpacho, and Chocolate Tapioca Arancini.
Seafood will be provided by the Embassy of Canada.

Chuck Hughes will be visiting Manila in conjunction with the Asian Food Channel (AFC), which airs Chuck’s Day Off every Wednesday at 9 PM.
He is the youngest Canadian chef to win the popular show, Iron Chef America.
So passionate is he about food, that his favourites are permanently inked on his arms in the form of bacon, lobster, arugula leaves and even lemon meringue pie.
After graduating from Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec in Canada, Chef Hughes worked in some of Montreal’s most popular restaurants before opening his first restaurant Garde Manger, a den-like restaurant where he puts his magical spin on comfort food, and serves decadent meals along with his favourite rock soundtracks.
Continuing with his unwavering respect for the finest produce, Chef Hughes opened his second eatery, Le Bremner, with his two best friends.

Thanks, Cecile! Chef Chuck will be using various seafood from his homeland Canada! Great writeup! That can also be an interchangable “hot new chefs” or “new hot chefs”. :)

I love chefs covered in tatts!  One of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne is http://www.thebrix.com.au/ and the staff are hipsters who are covered in tatts, crazy about food and are gorgeous!
