I’ll admit that I may have posted one of the first Cookie Butters on Instagram (cause hey, my son loves it)

I also like to post really fabulous gifts, such as an entire carton of Royce’ chocolate potato chips—because it doesn’t happen all the time

Or the latest caviar collection from La Prairie, so sue me.

Personally I get so annoyed at people who repeatedly post selfies.

I follow a colleague who constatly posts selfies, but what’s even more frustrating are the captions. Examples: My delicious japanese dinner with boyfriend; or, At the mall to shop for shoes; or, Beautiful sky at sunset. Yet all of these pics only contain her face with a wide-ass grin in them. What was the point of the caption? Eh kung ipinakita nalang sana niya yung sunset, diba?

ang pinakaayaw ko yung pipicturan yung paa tapos kitang kita yung sandamukal na kalyo. i mean, im not perfect, may kalyo din ako sa paa pero cha naman, yung pipicturan mo? lalo na yung kakalagay lang ng nail polish! pwede naman yung kamay na lang picturan! sana nagpafoot spa ka na rin! gigil ako! my best friend and i hate it so much that we love looking for friends with pictures of their calloused feet and the one with the most kalyos wins!

Mabuti na lang, DOGS are not on the list. I once read sa tweets ni @krizzy_kalerQUI na “hashtag whore” daw ang tawag sa mga sandamukal na hashtags. I’m guilty of making my own tags in taglish – because I use those tags to easily find grouped pics in search – ala-Livejournal.The sellers are annoying, lalo na yung mga nagbebenta ng imitation bags at ebooks. Inspirational quotes — parang Facebook.

2. celebrities na nagpapasalamat sa mga libreng iPhone casings. BAKET?!
3. Selfies. – Lalo na yung hindi kagandahan ang fez. meron akong friends na ganun, naawa na lang ako.
4. Magpipicture ng outfit na putol ang ulo. – GANUN KA KAPANGET TEH?
5. “regram” hahaha

I wanted to say this but didn’t want to sound mean. This is why I don’t have a Facebook account. I don’t mind people posting family or baby pictures but not every day especially if the people in the images are not too attractive tapos ang caption, “My lovely children.”

Parents who post pictures and updates non-stop of everything their kids do! Wala kaming pakialam kung ano kinain ng anak mo, or if your baby burped, pooped, smiled, babbled! All babies do that! Millions of babies are born everyday!

Still on babies/kids, I feel awful when I see kids at the ER (sick, had an accident, etc) with all these tubes and bandages. I see this on Instagram, but more often on FB. The parents are probably bored while waiting for treatment or to be released, but surely there are better things to occupy ourselves with than posting pics of little ones at their most vulnerable?

I am guilty of #4. Pero hindi naman ako panget (and I think you would agree, haha!). I just don’t like having my face out there. Even my Facebook profile pic (which would be visible to people who already know me anyway) doesn’t show my face.

Seriously, what is the point of 10 hashtags? I really, really, really don’t get it. Especially the ones like #instagood, #instamood and even #instagram (why does that even exist as a hashtag?), lahat na lang ng insta!! I think it was @ManEatManila:twitter who said that anything above 3 hashtags is just begging for a “like.”

Another pet peeve would be hashtags that no one else would probably use. The ones above, albeit ridiculous, are used widely. But people who use hashtags like #mineisbetterthanyours or #theworldismyoyster or #offtothesalon just miss the point of hashtags entirely.

Then, yeah, selfies. Ugggh. I don’t follow some people I am really close to (some of them I’m related to by blood) because of their selfies. It would be the best for all of us if I just don’t see those pictures.

They’re quite useful! I sometimes make my own hashtags if the photos have the same theme or are in the same event etc. So when i need to search for those photos i just type the hashtag in the Explore tab

I don’t hashtag my own name though haha!
