12-21-12

The nearer it gets, the less scared I am.

Earlier in the bathroom, I was thinking that if it does happen, I just want to be home with my husband and kids.
But did you notice that nobody’s really concerned about it?
Today it was all about the RH Bill being passed, and the memorial for the victims of the Newtown, Connecticut shooting.
At home it’s all about wrapping presents, sending them out and receiving them.
The kids are excited for their Christmas parties, Christmas break and Christmas itself.

I remember the last “end of the world” where I actually camped out with my two babies in my mom’s house, while Mich Dulce and her mom held hands in church. Nothing happened.
I’ve always fantasized about having one day in a year where you could eat anything you wanted and not gain a pound. I used to think about eating a pint of Häagen-Dazs coffee ice cream because I’ve never tried.

Haagen-Dazs coffee ice cream

I’d say 12-21-12 is a good day to eat everything you want and not feel guilty about it.
And you, what would you do or eat?

If it happens (or when it happens), I’ll only be thinking of my mom and wish that I could see her. I know she’s in Heaven but I know I won’t end up there. That’s my only wish. To see her once more before we part ways again.

I don’t really believe any of that Mayan Dec 21 crap, but to correct a common misconception, it was never said that the world will end exactly on Dec 21 but rather that day will be the beginning of a new consciousness, whatever that is.  It could mean that a series of world-changing events will happen after Dec 21.  Again, I’m simply correcting the misconception that on Dec 21 there will be earthquakes and fire and tidal waves etc etc.

to ease my nerves and hopefully some, one point that my husband pointed out that the Mayans calendar should have been “done” a long time ago if we consider the leap years (make sense).
But the biggest thing that i am grasping every inch of faith in my body, i believe that only God knows what would be our faith or the world’s future, i would rather believe God rather than the Mayan calendar.

I’d eat all the cookie dough ice cream I can get my hands on. Hahah! However, I will be up in the air @ 38,000 feet praying and hoping that we will be able to land safely so that  I can be with my loved ones even for just one more day. :)

I’d have some Creme Brulee. It’s always been my favorite dessert. I don’t regret it on a regular day, so I’m sure having some on the 21st would hardly make a difference. :p

I know I’ll be working that day (end of my Thursday shift is the beginning of Friday). I’ll be driving home and hoping for the best.
