3) Coño #2: I can understand brushing teeth with Evian. But how can she do it chilled water? #notfun

5) Cono #4: Looks convincing. But even if there’s no Internet where they’re at, surely she must have a 3G phone with data plan?
6) Try using your cellphone after stepping out of a helicopter. I don’t know if you can hear anything.

This is a miss. Sino kaya ang inisip na target market ng GMA Films noong inaprubahan nila ang project na ‘to?

Why are local studios still banking on films that focus on the rich? Films like these will be certified flops. The masses will not be enticed to spend P180.00 ++ to see Bianca King brush her teeth with Evian, nor will the middle classes line up to see Heart Evangesta flip her hair in slow motion.

Ang gusto ng masa ay ambition, romance at kilig. None of those are evident in this trailer. Pretty faces aren’t enough.

This must be a low-budget movie and must have intended to overdo the scenes thats why they appear trying hard social climbers than a real socialite. Basta for the sake na may magawang movie. It must be a way to revive Philippine cinema! Does is show what kind of movie-goers the Pinoys are?

Most probably yes. Record labels regularly supply networks like GMA with music samplers containing pop songs “on promo”, meaning they can be used for free. I used to work there and was encouraged to look for (and use) current songs “on promo” when producing plugs.

I’s pretty obvious the person who wrote the script did not come from a “cono” background at all. Everything portrayed is some perception and exaj stereotype. STILL, I think it works as a movie, though maybe they shouldn’t have bothered with using the term “cono”, they should have called them “RICH KIDS” or “Spoiled Brat Number 1,2,3,4″ This looks more to me like a Pinoy version of CLUELESS (and coincidentally, parang clueless rin yung writers!) and not very cono at all. My understanding of cono is very dated though. I’m thinking Basti Artadi and the Ripolls. If they shot this during my time, they could have used the Garcia siblings Patrick and Cheska Garcia, if i remember correctly, they are true blue cono. These new kids are more updated half-Pinoy, sosy types. Not really very cono.

I agree with all your points Brushing with Mineral Water is totally acceptable in places where water is dodgy but cold water, kahit hindi bottled, masakit kaya! And I have been on a helicopter more than once, the only thing I was doing with my phone was taking a photo! (uy, twitter). Forget calling or talking to someone, you even need to wear a special talk-back thingy to be heard. For the record, Ruffa is not cono either. But she’s pretty mataray and sosy and I like her. I can’t even begin to talk about Cherie Gil who is a GODDESS. She’s not cono but she’s damn classy. She doesn’t need to bother with the weird accents but I guess she’s trying to be her contrabida taray self, in my eyes she can do no wrong! More importantly, are they from the South? Do they go to the bazaar? Hehehe or are they members of the club (very dated talaga!) Kudos, for once, the whole movie is not in the trailer. If anything, technically, the cutting is so abrupt and messy. Wish they had a better copy online. I will say though that i think this movie’s going to be fun and I’d watch it if I were home for the holidays!

there’s a memo going around tv network office buildings about the original meaning of “coño” and other slang words with different original meanings like lamyerda and the like. they can’t use such words on tv…i think it’s the same for movies..
